Gravity
Foreword by Jim Hinshaw. Privately published, not for sale.
I'm a systems engineer by training. I can't not see patterns. Watching the same one repeat across a decade of client work in the trades, I felt compelled to write it down and share it. I'd been saying it out loud for years. The push to finally put it on paper came from my friend Jim Hinshaw, who has published four books of his own and kept telling me I needed to publish mine.
- Trust precedes growth.
- Identity is non-negotiable.
- Consistency outweighs intensity.
- Alignment removes friction.
- Time is the only multiplier.
For a decade, a business could grow fairly facelessly on the crutch of the web: SEO, paid ads, whatever was working that quarter. That's over. Commerce is more transparent than it's ever been, and AI and search are organizing and identifying businesses as entities, not just pages. A brand built on cheap digital tricks doesn't hold up under that kind of scrutiny. One built on value-first community building does. Gravity is the framework, drawn from what I've observed across every client I've served, for making that shift.
Gravity was never a marketing play. It's a contribution back to an industry that has given me far more than I could put on a page. It isn't sold anywhere. If you want a copy, I'll send you one myself, autographed.
